Business Website Project and Care Agreement
(A copy of this Product and Care Agreement is sent to each new client for signed approval prior to work being started)

1. Scope of Work (The Starter Package)
Under the Product and Care Agreement, BCD Web Design agrees to build and launch a professional, mobile-friendly WordPress website for the Client consisting of up to [5] pages (typically: Home, Services, About, and Contact).
- Included Services: Custom text copy-editing, basic mobile layout responsive design, integration of a secure contact form with database backups, and foundational local search optimization (Local Schema entry).
- Exclusions: This starter package strictly excludes complex e-commerce configurations, advanced scheduling/booking engines, or major graphic/logo design assets unless added via a separate written amendment.
2. Financial Terms & Recurring Billing
- Upfront Setup Fee: The Client agrees to pay a one-time setup fee of $199 before design work begins.
- Monthly Web Care Subscription: The Client agrees to a mandatory monthly subscription fee of $69. / month, commencing the day the website is launched live to the public.
- Automatic Payments: All monthly payments must be processed automatically via a valid credit card using the secure BCD Web Design online billing system (Stripe).
3. Client Web Care Plan Deliverables
The monthly subscription fee ensures the website remains functional, safe, and online. It covers:
- Premium secure cloud server hosting.
- Automated daily website backups.
- Active firewall security and routine software/plugin updates.
- Up to 30 minutes of text or image updates per calendar month (e.g., changing operating hours, updating a phone number, or swapping out service photos). Unused minutes do not roll over to the next month.
4. Website Ownership & Cancellation Policy
- Ownership: BCD Web Design grants the Client a full commercial license to display their business branding and text content on the site. However, the underlying layout templates, custom backend plugin configurations, and live server hosting architecture remain the intellectual property of BCD Web Design.
- Cancellation: The Client may cancel their monthly subscription at any time with a 30-day written notice.
- Effect of Cancellation: Upon cancellation, the website will be taken offline. If the Client wishes to migrate the website files entirely off BCD Web Design servers to their own independent third-party hosting environment, a flat Migration Release Fee of $500 will apply to cover packaging and file transfer labor.
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to provide all necessary logos, photography, business details, and raw text answers within 14 business days of signing the Product and Care Agreement using the standard BCD Onboarding Questionnaire. BCD Web Design cannot be held liable for project launch delays caused by missing client materials.
